Patients with insurance
- Please contact your insurance company to clarify your policy cover, claim process and obtain 'prior approval' for your surgery. It is essential that you bring the prior approval letter with you on your admission.
- Any late or non-payment by your health insurer of your hospital costs is your full responsibility.
- Sundry items like phone calls are not covered by insurance and must be paid on discharge.
Patients without insurance prior approval or overseas patients
- Are required to pay the total estimated cost on admission.
- Please settle the hospital account in full on discharge.
ACC Patients
- Are required to pay personal expenses incurred (e.g. toll calls, visitors meals etc) on discharge.
- The hospital account will be paid directly by ACC. If you have opted to pay a co-payment see above for payment arrangements.
Payment Options
- Gillies Hospital accepts cash, most credit cards, cheques, EFTPOS and internet banking.
